Affordable Housing 101: Housing Finance Training

Join MAHC on Thursday January 22nd from 12pm-2pm for the first installment of the "Affordable Housing 101" training series where we will focus on Affordable Housing Finance. In this session, you will hear from an affordable housing development consultant, a LIHTC community development lender and investor, and a representative from Maryland DHCD. Presenters will walk you through site selection and a deal proforma and share the various financing sources they used and why. We will also be joined by a lender/investor who will provide their perspective and what they look for when investing in a LIHTC deal, as well as an overview of the various debt and equity sources they offer. Maryland DHCD will also provide an overview of their multifamily loan programs. 

This session is part of a series of learning events designed for non-developers or newer development staff to learn more about the development process and affordable housing finance.
