Scholarship Program

MAHC will award one scholarship in the amount of $2,000 to a high school student who plans to pursue a degree related to affordable housing finance, policy, real estate development, urban planning or architectural design. Students must be enrolled, accepted or awaiting acceptance for the Fall 2026 semester at a two or four-year college located in the State of Maryland.

Requirements to Apply:

1. Complete the application form
2. Essay: In 500 words describe why you plan to pursue a career in the affordable housing industry, your professional goals, and how your background or past volunteer or life experience contributed to your interest in this field of work.
3. Letter of Recommendation from a teacher, counselor or work supervisor
4. Copy of your most recent high school transcript
5. Copy of SAT and ACT test results if applicable
