Join MAHC for a brown bag lunch in August where we will be joined by the DHCD Office of Tenant and Landlord Affairs to provide an overview of the Tenant Bill of Rights (TBOR) and Landlord responsibilities as well as provide an overview of the new tenant/landlord laws that were passed by the General Assembly this year. The TBOR is required to be attached to all new and renewing leases beginning July 1, 2025.
Grab your lunch and join us from your desk to meet the staff at the newly formed Office of Tenant and Landlord Affairs at DHCD and learn more about the TBOR, what's in it, when you have to provide it, and hear other updates for landlords and property managers.
There will be time at the end for questions, so please feel free to email your questions in advance or you can stay online to ask staff questions individually after the training session.
Join us before the August Happy Hour for a tour of Alchemy @ One Light, a new multifamily apartment community. One Light is a residential conversion of three floors of existing office space, floors 9,10, and 11. The owner Madison Marquette working with adg interiors + architecture and Bozzuto Construction, created 54 new units in Charm City with shopping, dining, and entertainment in walking distance. Apartments complete with a gourmet kitchen, luxurious bathroom and high-end, energy-efficient appliances with amenities within the building including an infinity pool, fitness center, clubroom, dining room, game lounge, and dog park and spa.
Parking: Paid parking is available in the building and there is limited street parking nearby.
Please join us for a special joint Happy Hour with CREW Baltimore on August 14th for informal networking and a chance to meet other members from both MAHC and CREW Baltimore. This month we will meet at Little Havana on the Harbor in Baltimore.
Appetizers will be provided, and there will be a cash bar.
