The mission of the Maryland Affordable Housing Coalition (MAHC) is to increase the financial and technical resources available for developers of affordable housing in Maryland. Formed in Spring 2000, MAHC advocates for resources for affordable housing development through increased funding for established programs, such as the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development's (DHCD) Rental Housing Programs. In addition, MAHC believes in developing and promoting "best practices" in conjunction with the Maryland DHCD staff through frequent interactions and trainings.
Each winter, MAHC holds its annual membership meeting which provides up-to-date information on the current state housing programs and policies. Members are kept informed of breaking events through an e-mail service. MAHC officers and directors are listed below: |
